It’s thrilling to see the brilliant work of John Chapple continues to gain recognition in the photographic industry. Chapple has been enjoying an enormous amount of press around the world after being named the June 2013 Hasselblad Owners Club Photographer of the Month.

We first profiled Chapple and his work in 2012. Since then, he’s been traversing countries with a Hasselblad H3D-50 and a Linhof Technorama 617, creating his tonally-rich and detailed landscapes.

Few photographers get to see the range of coverage Chapple has gotten from his shot of Horseshoe Bend and the Colorado River, and his subsequent Hasselblad award. ABC News, Landscape Photography Magazine, and this very blog have all covered Chapple’s work previously. As a Hasselblad photographer, news of this award has earned him mentions in publications as diverse as the Huffington Post, the Daily Mail, Miami Newsday, World Observer Online, and Online Nigeria.

When shooting landscapes, Chapple is still using his Sekonic L-758Cine. For his other photography, including celebrity and news work, he uses a Sekonic L-358.
